While Blass did not provide extensive details, he expressed that leaking phone information and sharing wallpapers has become an unproductive endeavor. He further revealed challenges in sustaining a steady income through his work with @evleaks. Additionally, Blass shared that he cannot afford a vital prescription for his treatment; he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), an autoimmune disorder, in 2014.
Blass has been a cornerstone for countless leaks featured across numerous tech media outlets for over a decade. He began leaking mobile devices in 2009, three years prior to establishing the now-iconic @evleaks account.
