Evan Blass, the creator of the popular @evleaks account on X (formerly Twitter), has announced his retirement from the account after 14 years of operation.

While he did not elaborate extensively, Blass indicated that the act of leaking phone information and posting wallpapers has become unfulfilling for him at this stage in his life. He explained that his role as @evleaks has not provided a reliable income, making it challenging to cover essential expenses, including a critical prescription. Blass was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), an autoimmune disorder, in 2014.

Evan Blass retires @evleaks, again

For more than a decade, Evan Blass has been a crucial source of leaks featured on our own site and numerous other tech media platforms. He has been sharing information about phones since 2009, three years prior to the establishment of the well-known @evleaks account.

His contributions have been highlighted frequently across various channels.

Blass's journey has not been without challenges; he had initially retired the @evleaks account in 2014, citing similar difficulties in generating a sustainable income.

We extend our best wishes to Evan in his future endeavors! He plans to transition his social media activities to an Instagram account under the handle @EvanBlass, which aligns with his PayPal and Venmo accounts for those wishing to support him.
