In late 2025, a beta version of WhatsApp hinted at a significant design overhaul, aligning with the Liquid Glass design language that Apple introduced in its latest iOS. Users began reporting redesigned UI elements, including updates to the main chat screen.

According to a recent report from WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is nearing the release of a revamped in-chat interface. Notably, these changes are not yet accessible to beta users; however, WABetaInfo has successfully activated the new interface, which features a floating chat bar and a translucent navigation bar.
That said, it’s advisable not to expect the changes too soon. Meta appears to be adopting a leisurely approach towards the rollout of this new design. Many users are still without the redesigned UI elements, suggesting that it will take additional time before the full overhaul is widely available. It seems the new design will only be rolled out to average users once it is completely finalized.
