In Europe, the Honor 600 Pro is 43% more expensive than the standard model; however, in Malaysia, the difference is only 27%, which significantly impacts consumer choices. The Honor 600 Pro has always been considered the superior model between the two, leading to the question of whether its higher price justifies the investment.

According to last week’s poll results, the response is a clear “yes.” While the Honor 600 Pro may not be the newest device available, its price point remains a notable factor. A significant number of consumers expressed that if they choose to buy an Honor 600, they would opt for the Pro variant. This trend is further illustrated in the following pie chart.

Approximately one-third of voters showed interest in the Pro model, although many indicated they would wait for reviews to guide their decision. The Pro’s advantages include a more powerful chipset (Snapdragon 8 Elite versus 7 Gen 4), a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x zoom, and 50W wireless charging, which tipped the scales in its favor.
Nevertheless, the €1,000 price is daunting, especially since numerous flagship devices are available at or even below this price range. Additionally, the Honor 600 Pro lacks some flagship features, such as the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, an LTPO display, and more advanced biometric systems like an ultrasonic fingerprint reader.

While MSRP does not always reflect actual market prices, the Honor 600 Pro will require a significant discount to boost its sales. Commenters have pointed out alternatives like the Honor Magic8 Pro, which is available for a similar price and qualifies as a legitimate flagship device. Competing models from Poco and Xiaomi also present strong options.
The Honor 600 is regarded as a competent mid-range smartphone—a commentator even acquired one for €150 less than the MSRP, along with some additional Honor promotional items. This kind of deal is commendable. However, at full MSRP, only 19% of voters preferred the Pro model, while 20% were interested in other brands.

A recent check on the Honor Germany website revealed that the Honor 400 Pro (12/512GB) is priced at €550, €150 less than the comparable Honor 600. The older model has commendable features: it houses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, a 50MP 3x telephoto camera, a larger 6.7-inch display, and quicker charging capabilities (100W wired, 50W wireless). However, its 5,300mAh battery is relatively small compared to newer standards, being 1,100mAh smaller than the Honor 600's battery.
If you're considering purchasing an Honor 600, it would be wise to wait for a substantial discount before making your decision.
