Our review found the phone to be impressive, although the ultimate showdown between the vivo and Oppo Ultra devices is yet to be determined.

During our hands-on experience with the Oppo Find X9 Ultra, we also explored the Hasselblad Earth Explorer Kit, which includes a 300mm add-on lens, a 67mm filter adapter, and a lens collar with a tripod mount.

For those who may find the Hasselblad kit excessive, it could be that the X9 Ultra feels like overkill as well—casual users might prefer the Oppo Find X9 Pro. The Ultra model justifies its price if users plan to leverage its superior camera system. While the Hasselblad kit enhances the experience, the phone's four built-in lenses are already highly capable, embodying the phone's ethos of being "extra."

Oppo Find X9 Ultra Highlights

The term "Ultra" lacks a standardized definition; each manufacturer interprets it differently. The Oppo Find X9 Ultra competes against the vivo X300 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. But where does it stand alongside devices like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, iPhone 17 Pro Max, Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Honor Magic8 Pro?

Ultimately, the question remains: will you choose to purchase the Oppo Find X9 Ultra, or will another phone better meet your needs?

This week, Oppo also announced the Find X9s, alongside the X9s Pro (which is limited to China). Both the X9 Ultra and X9s are set for a global launch, including in India.

The Find X9s serves as a more affordable version of the X9, featuring the Dimensity 9500s chipset rather than the standard 9500. Despite its name, the X9s shares more similarities with the Dimensity 9400. Additionally, the X9s does not support wireless charging for its 7,025mAh battery, although it retains the same wired charging capability (80W).

The exact pricing for the Oppo Find X9s has yet to be disclosed across all markets. For instance, in Malaysia, the X9s is available for pre-order at MYR 3,600 (7% off the MSRP of MYR 3,900) for the 12/512GB version, while the original X9 is priced at MYR 4,000 (with no current discounts) for the 16/512GB model. In summary, do not expect significant discounts when the X9s launches.
