Huawei Mate XT2 Set to Launch in October with Exciting Upgrades

New information has emerged regarding the successor to Huawei’s Mate XT Ultimate Edition tri-fold smartphone. This device, named the Mate XT2, is expected to introduce several enhancements over the Mate XT from 2024 and the recently launched Mate XTs.

A tipster on Weibo has indicated that Huawei plans to unveil the Mate XT2 in October this year, alongside the Mate 90 series. The Mate XT2 is reported to be powered by the Kirin 9050 Pro chipset. For comparison, the Mate XTs utilized the Kirin 9020, while the original Mate XT featured the Kirin 9010.

The tipster has also suggested that the upcoming tri-fold smartphone may include a battery with a capacity exceeding 6,000mAh.

In terms of camera specifications, it is expected to feature a setup similar to that of the Huawei Mate X7, which launched in November last year with a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 40MP ultrawide camera.

Moreover, the Huawei Mate XT2 is anticipated to include an upgraded hinge designed to significantly minimize the display crease. There are also indications that it will support stylus input.
