In just two generations, vivo has nearly doubled the battery capacity of its Y-series Pro smartphones. The Y400 Pro, launched last June, came with a 5,500mAh battery, which is quite standard for mid-range devices today. The Y500 Pro followed in November, showing a significant increase to 7,000mAh. However, the newly announced Y600 Pro raises the bar dramatically with its 10,200mAh Si-C battery.

This battery boasts a full 38Wh capacity, utilizing fourth-generation silicon anode technology with 15% silicon content and an energy density of 886Wh/L.
Despite its impressive battery capacity, the Y600 Pro does not compromise on design. Vivo has managed to fit a cell that is 45% larger while only increasing the phone's thickness by 0.4mm. The Y600 Pro measures just 8.25mm thick, a mere 5% increase.

With such a powerful battery, the Y600 Pro is claimed to provide over 24 hours of use with impressive stats: 47 hours of calls, 28 hours of video playback, or 16 hours of navigation. Vivo also asserts that the battery will retain 80% of its original capacity even after six years or 1,600 charging cycles, thanks to optimized battery health management.

The device supports 90W fast charging—unchanged since the Y400 Pro—and includes reverse wired charging functionality, allowing it to be used as a portable power bank. Additionally, the Y600 Pro features IP68 and IP69 ingress protection.
In terms of display, the Y600 Pro is equipped with a 6.83-inch AMOLED screen featuring FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, alongside a 32MP front-facing camera and an optical fingerprint scanner.

The Y600 Pro is the first smartphone to feature MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300e chipset. Although it is similar to the Dimensity 7300 and 7300X variants, it has a slightly less capable Arm Mali-G610 MC2 GPU and improved power efficiency.
The software runs on OriginOS 6, which is based on Android 16. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main lens with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS). Notably, the second module functions as an IR blaster, placed in an unusual position.

Available in black, blue, gold, and violet, the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage starts at CNY 1,999 (approximately $292 or €250). The higher-end version with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at CNY 2,899 (roughly $424 or €361).

The device is now available for order from vivo’s official online store in China, with deliveries set to begin on April 30.
