The OnePlus Pad 4 packaging is simple, coming in the recognizable red and white color scheme. Inside, the tablet occupies very little vertical space due to its slim 5.94mm profile. Most of the height is taken up by the 80W fast charger, along with its matching cable. There isn’t much else included in the box.

The OnePlus Pad 4 represents a straightforward iterative update over the OnePlus Pad 3. It replaces the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip of the previous model with a new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and features a 30% larger vapor chamber at 45,260mm². Users can choose between the same 256GB and 512GB storage options as before, but now with UFS 4.1 instead of UFS 4.0. Moreover, there's an approximate 10% increase in battery capacity, from 12,140mAh to 13,380mAh. Notably, the display also sees an enhancement with about 100 additional nits of brightness.

However, other upgrades are limited. The design, display, cameras, charging, connectivity, and speakers remain largely unchanged compared to the previous model. Additionally, the OnePlus Pad 4 offers memory options of only 8GB and 12GB LPDDR5X, down from the 12GB and 16GB on the Pad 3. This change may be disappointing, particularly for users interested in performance and multitasking capabilities.

On a positive note, OnePlus introduces some new accessories with the Pad 4. One of these is the OnePlus Stylo Pro stylus, which includes two different tips: one designed specifically for writing and another for drawing. There's also a new OnePlus Pad 4 Smart Keyboard. Unlike the split keyboard/kickstand design of the Pad 3 Smart Keyboard, the new model features a single, laptop-style unit with a hinged design. Note that the pogo-pin contact patch has been relocated, making it incompatible with the older tablet.
