It is worth noting that the prices listed for Europe represent the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices (MSRPs), but currently, Honor is running a promotion. Under this offer, the 512GB Honor 600 is available for €500, while the 512GB Honor 600 Pro is priced at €800. This promotion also includes a free screen replacement for the first 12 months. Furthermore, buyers of the Pro model can choose to receive either a free Honor Pad X8a or an Honor Choice Projector Air Pro.

This is an attractive promotional offer. For comparison, last year, the Honor 400 with 256GB storage was priced at €500, and the Honor 400 Pro with 512GB storage was €800. We will be comparing the new models against the 400 series, as Honor has a unique release schedule; even models (200, 400, 600) are available globally, while the odd-numbered models (300, 500) remain exclusive to China.

The Honor 600 features a new chipset, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 (an upgrade from Gen 3), and offers significantly improved water resistance with an IP68/IP69K rating (up from IP65 or IP66). Additionally, the device has increased in thickness by 0.5mm to accommodate a larger battery capacity of 6,400mAh for the European model and 7,000mAh globally, compared to the previous 5,300mAh for Europe and 6,000mAh globally.

The Honor 600 Pro is a more extensive redesign compared to its predecessor. While it maintains the same size as the standard 600 with a 6.57” display, it upgrades to a more advanced chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite (up from the 8 Gen 3). The battery capacity is identical to the standard model—6,400mAh for Europe and 7,000mAh globally, improved from 5,300mAh/6,000mAh on the previous Pro model.

A comparison between the Honor 600 and 600 Pro shows that the two devices are nearly identical, differing mainly in chipset and camera specifications. Both smartphones come equipped with a 200MP main camera (1/1.4” sensor), a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP selfie camera. However, the Pro version also includes a 50MP telephoto lens with a 3.5x zoom. While their battery capacities are the same and both support 80W wired charging and 27W reverse charging, the Pro model adds 50W wireless charging to its features.

The Honor 400 Pro gained popularity in last year's poll, although many believed the standard Honor 400 required a price reduction. Do you think the same applies to the Honor 600, or has the company made enough improvements to justify the €500 price tag, especially considering the overall rise in prices?

As for the Honor 600 Pro, last year's comparison showed notable differences between the 400 and 400 Pro models. This year, however, the Pro feels more like an enhanced version of the Honor 600, yet it commands a higher price for the additional performance, telephoto camera, and wireless charging options. Is it worth the extra cost?

We currently have both the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro in for review, so stay tuned for an in-depth analysis of their features, strengths, and weaknesses.
