The excitement is building as the Oppo Find X9 Ultra is scheduled for its official launch in China and international markets on April 21. In the lead-up to the unveiling, Oppo has disclosed detailed camera specifications, complemented by design leaks that have emerged from a listing by China Telecom.
The company recently confirmed that the Find X9 Ultra will boast a remarkable 50MP periscope telephoto camera capable of achieving 10x optical zoom, further adding to its impressive camera line-up. Additional specifications were revealed through a social media post, indicating a robust photography experience.
At the forefront of its photographic capabilities, the device will feature an astonishing 200MP primary sensor, which boasts a size nearing 1 inch. This sensor is designed to provide a 10% increase in light intake compared to its predecessor, the Find X8 Ultra. Complementing this are two additional 200MP cameras: one being a periscope telephoto that offers an impressive 3x optical zoom, claiming to deliver a 36% enhancement in light intake over the previous model.
Moreover, the Find X9 Ultra will include a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP front-facing camera, both reputed to capture 56% more light than the earlier generation. Adding to its innovative features, the device will house a new true color camera with a 3.2MP sensor, recognized for being 43% more sensitive to light, as detailed in the China Telecom listing.
In terms of display, the Find X9 Ultra is reported to sport a 6.78-inch screen with a resolution of 3168 × 1440 pixels. Under the hood, the device will be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, with options for up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
The China Telecom listing indicates that the phone will be available in several color variants, including Polar Glacier, Rongsha Valley, and Tundra, with design elements revealed in the Tundra finish. The ergonomics are noted, with the right side housing volume and power buttons alongside a specialized camera button, while the left side is set to feature a quick shortcut button.
Although the camera module exhibits a thicker footprint, it remains less pronounced than that of the newly launched vivo X300 Ultra.
The Oppo Find X9 Ultra is set to be revealed in China on April 21, alongside the Find X9s Ultra, promising to elevate the smartphone photography landscape.
