Introducing the Revolutionary DJI Avata 360 Drone

DJI has unveiled its highly anticipated Avata 360 drone, designed to take aerial videography to the next level. As a direct competitor to Antigravity's A1, the DJI Avata 360 enables users to capture breathtaking 360-degree video in an impressive 8K resolution at 60 frames per second (fps), leveraging DJI's advanced 1-inch type sensors with 2.4 μm pixels and remarkable high dynamic range capabilities.

The Avata 360 comes equipped with various interchangeable lenses, including a specialized 360-degree lens featuring 1-inch equivalent sensors, capable of capturing stunning 120MP images. Both videos and photographs can be easily exported or modified during post-production for an enhanced creative experience.

In addition to its versatile filming options, the drone features a Single Lens mode which allows for classic Avata-style recording in 4K at 60fps. The innovative O4+ video transmission technology enables users to stream video at 1080p resolution at up to an impressive distance of 20 kilometers.

The Avata 360 boasts a flight time of up to 23 minutes and is equipped with advanced nightscape omnidirectional obstacle sensing, along with built-in propeller guards for added safety. Should you wish to switch out the camera lens, there's an Avata 360 replacement lens kit that comes with all necessary tools for a straightforward lens change.

DJI Avata 360 Features

With 42GB of internal storage, the drone can keep approximately 30 minutes of 8K 360-degree video footage. Utilizing Wi-Fi 6 technology, transferring 1GB of video weight to the DJI Fly app takes only 10 seconds, with speeds of up to 100MB/s. The Avata 360 supports features including infinite rotation and tilt for dynamic camera movements, one-tap in-app editing, intelligent subject tracking, and a first-person view (FPV) mode that allows the drone to autonomously choose the best tracking approach.

The drone is compatible with various DJI remote controllers such as the RC2, RC-N2, and RC-N3, and it can perform aerial stunts using the DJI RC Motion 3 controller.

The DJI Avata 360 is currently available for pre-order directly from DJI. Pricing starts at £409 for the drone alone, with bundle options including £639 / €719 for the DJI RC2, £829 / €939 for the Fly More combo with the RC2, and £829 / €939 for the Motion Fly More combo with the DJI Goggles N3. Shipping is expected to commence next month.
