Google Launches Expanded AI Mode Search Live Feature Globally
In an exciting development for users worldwide, Google has officially expanded its Search Live feature in AI Mode to over 200 countries and territories. This enhancement, announced in June of last year, now makes conversational searches accessible to a more diverse audience, offering support in all languages compatible with AI Mode.
Search Live is designed to provide an interactive conversational experience within Google Search's AI Mode. To access this feature, users simply need to open the Google app on their Android or iOS devices and tap the Live icon located beneath the search bar. Once activated, users can pose questions and receive audio responses. The conversation can then continue seamlessly with follow-up inquiries, or users can explore more through provided web links.
A standout feature of Search Live includes the ability to use your device's camera for enhanced context. For instance, if you encounter a new gadget that requires installation, you can point your camera at it and ask for step-by-step instructions. Additionally, Search Live is accessible via Google Lens by selecting the Live option at the bottom of the screen.
While this functionality may remind users of Gemini Live, it's important to note that it operates within Google Search rather than Gemini. Those who prefer a textual format can opt for the Transcript option, and Search Live can work in the background on users' phones, allowing for continued interaction even while navigating through other applications.
