Leaked Screen Protector for iPhone 18 Pro Suggests Reduced Dynamic Island Size
Recent leaks surrounding the iPhone 18 series have sparked intrigue, particularly regarding the design changes to the Dynamic Island feature. Newly surfaced images of a purported iPhone 18 Pro screen protector indicate that Apple is indeed reducing the size of the Dynamic Island, which houses the TrueDepth camera and Face ID sensors.

The images from Weibo highlight a slimmer pill-shaped cutout measuring just 13.49mm, a significant reduction from the 20.76mm cutout found on the iPhone 17 Pro. This change hints at Apple's ongoing efforts to refine the user experience and maximize display real estate.
In addition to the narrower cutout, reports suggest that the display bezels of the iPhone 18 Pro will remain similar in size to its predecessor, as previously indicated by leaker Ice Universe. Moreover, it's speculated that all models in the iPhone 18 lineup, including the base and Air 2 versions, will feature this newly designed smaller Dynamic Island.

Speculations also suggest that Apple may be working on integrating some Face ID components—like the flood illuminator—underneath the display panel to accommodate this new, reduced footprint for the Dynamic Island.
