Oppo is set to launch the Find N6 in one week, and the anticipation is building as the company shares exciting details about its innovative crease-free display. Oppo asserts that it has successfully crafted the first "zero-feel crease" by utilizing an updated hinge and a revolutionary auto-smoothing Flex Glass.
The hinge is crucial for any foldable device, and Oppo features a second-generation Titanium Flexion Hinge created through a liquid 3D printing process.

The development begins with precise laser scanning to generate a high-fidelity model for each hinge surface. Following this, the liquid 3D printing phase utilizes minuscule photopolymer resin droplets to correct any irregularities, ensuring structural consistency at a microscopic level. Each layer of the hinge is promptly solidified using UV light.
Constructed from Grade-5 titanium alloy, the hinge and wing plates feature a broader waterdrop design, which enhances the folding radius while minimizing stress on the display. Additionally, Oppo has upgraded the carbon fiber support plate.

Beyond the hinge, Oppo directly addresses the issue of "creep," the tendency for the internal layers of the folding screen to shift over time, resulting in a noticeable vertical crease. Oppo's Auto-Smoothing Flex Glass is reported to be 50% thicker than Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG), providing enhanced durability and deformation resistance.
With superior elasticity, this glass helps prevent deformations and supports higher shape recovery rates. Tests conducted with TÜV Rheinland indicate that the Find N6's hinge and Auto-Smoothing Flex Glass reduce long-term crease depth by 82% compared to the Find N5. Oppo also claims that the Find N6’s display remains perfectly flat, showing no visible crease even after over 600,000 folds.
