Electric vehicles are evolving at an unprecedented rate. Typically, new features require the purchase of a new car, but Leapmotor demonstrates that enhancements can be made over time. Just six months after the Leapmotor B10's debut, the company has introduced a significant software update that connects new tools directly to the vehicle via the internet, underscoring the brand's commitment to keeping its technology up to date.
One of the most notable additions is the "One-Pedal" driving feature, which allows drivers to accelerate and decelerate using only the accelerator pedal. Releasing the pedal engages the electric motor to brake and recharges the battery, simplifying driving in congested traffic and extending range on a single charge.
Leapmotor B10For smartphone enthusiasts, the Leapmotor B10 now supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Users can connect their devices via cable or wirelessly, allowing access to favorite maps, music, and messaging apps directly on the car's display. Previously, drivers were limited to the car's native systems, which often lacked the user-friendliness of mobile apps.
In response to customer feedback, Leapmotor has also improved the car's computing speed with a new "Quick Start" feature that enables the infotainment system to power on more rapidly. The update includes a split-screen view for navigation, enabling users to view maps alongside music controls or vehicle settings simultaneously.
Leapmotor B10The steering wheel buttons have gained functionality, allowing owners to customize shortcuts for various functions such as activating driver-assist systems or adjusting vehicle dynamics. These enhancements personalize the driving experience while ensuring drivers maintain focus on the road.
Attention to safety is also a highlight of this update. The Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Centering Control have been refined to operate more smoothly during turns, offering a more natural deceleration that enhances passenger safety. Additionally, an upgraded system now alerts drivers if a passenger or pet is left in the back seat after parking.

For those unfamiliar with the model, the Leapmotor B10 is a compact SUV that delivers exceptional value. Measuring 4.52 m in length, 1.89 m in width, and 1.66 m in height, it features a wheelbase of 2.74 m, providing ample space for families. In most markets, pricing starts at approximately €33,300 for the Style trim and goes up to about €36,700 for the Design trim.
The B10 offers two battery options. The smaller 56.2 kWh battery delivers a range of around 360 km, while the larger 67.1 kWh battery can achieve up to 434 km on a full charge. Both versions feature a rear-wheel drive motor with an output of 160 kW, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8 seconds. Additionally, fast charging capabilities allow the battery to rise from 30% to 80% in about 20 minutes at a DC charging station.
Leapmotor B10Owners need not visit a mechanic to access these new features, as the software update began rolling out in early February 2026. Drivers will receive a notification on their dashboard when the update is available for their vehicle and can install it with just a few taps on the screen.
