With less than a month remaining until Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event, leaks surrounding the Galaxy S26 series continue to surface. The latest information reveals key specifications of the S26 Ultra along with new official renders of the device in Cobalt Violet and Black colors. According to AndroidHeadlines, a comprehensive spec sheet provides nearly all details about Samsung's upcoming premium flagship.
Galaxy S26 Ultra in Cobalt Violet and Black
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a QHD+ resolution and a refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120Hz. This display will introduce the new Privacy Display feature, which restricts visibility when viewed from side angles. Additionally, the smartphone will include a 12MP front camera and support for the S Pen.
Galaxy S26 Ultra in Black
In terms of dimensions, the S26 Ultra is anticipated to measure 163.6 x 78.1 x 7.9mm and weigh 214 grams. This profile is strikingly similar to that of its predecessor, the S25 Ultra, which measured 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2mm and weighed 218g.
Galaxy S26 Ultra's Side Profile
Unsurprisingly, Samsung will power the S26 Ultra with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. However, it remains unclear if this model will utilize the “for Galaxy” variant, as seen in previous S-series releases. The device will ship with a base storage capacity of 256GB, with options for expansion up to 1TB.
The rear design of the phone will feature a redesigned camera module, which includes a 200MP main sensor (ISOCELL HP2) boasting a f/1.4 aperture for improved light sensitivity. This will be accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide lens (Samsung JN3), a 50MP periscope telephoto lens (IMX854), and a 12MP telephoto lens (Samsung S5K3LD).
Those seeking a larger battery capacity may be disappointed to learn that the S26 Ultra will come with a 5,000mAh battery. While this leak does not specify charging speeds, prior information suggests Samsung could be upgrading to 60W charging, an increase from the 45W offered on the S25 Ultra.
Samsung is expected to unveil the S26 series on February 25, with pre-orders commencing on March 5 and general sales likely starting on March 11.
