Taiwan issues arrest warrant for OnePlus CEO

The Shilin District Prosecutors' Office in Taiwan announced on Tuesday that two local individuals have been indicted for assisting Lau in these employment actions. Prosecutors claim that under Lau's leadership, OnePlus hired over 70 engineers in Taiwan for software development and testing purposes.

The hiring occurred without the required government approval, thereby contravening the "Cross-Strait Act" governing relations between China and Taiwan. As of now, neither Lau nor OnePlus has released an official response regarding the allegations.
