Leaked Details on Samsung Exynos 2700 Chipset: What to Expect

Samsung unveiled the Exynos 2600 SoC just a month ago as the world’s first 2nm mobile chip. Although this chipset has yet to appear in any devices, new leaks have emerged about its successor, the Exynos 2700.

A tipster with little to no established credibility has shared purported details about the Samsung Exynos 2700 SoC, anticipated to launch in 2027. As with all rumors, these claims should be approached with skepticism.

The informant suggests that the chipset, codenamed Ulysses, will be manufactured using Samsung’s second-generation 2nm process (SF2P). It is expected to provide a 12% increase in overall performance and a 25% decrease in power consumption compared to the Exynos 2600 (SF2 node).

Rumors indicate that the Exynos 2700 will feature a prime core operating at 4.2GHz, paired with ARM’s C2 cores. The tipster claims the chipset might achieve approximately 4,800 points in single-core and 15,000 points in multi-core Geekbench tests.

To enhance thermal efficiency and heat dissipation, Samsung Foundry is reportedly utilizing its FOWLP-SbS (Side-by-Side) packaging technology, which should help minimize throttling during demanding tasks.

The Exynos 2700, coupled with the latest Xclipse GPU, is expected to support LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.0 storage, promising an overall performance improvement of up to 40%.

The Samsung Galaxy S27 series will likely utilize the Exynos 2700 SoC in certain regions. Interestingly, the Galaxy S26 lineup, set to debut in the coming weeks, may include the Exynos 2600 in select markets.
