Samsung continues to broaden its digital car key capabilities through the Samsung Wallet app, with Toyota being the latest addition to its roster of supported brands. However, not all models are included in this update.

Beginning in January 2026, Samsung Wallet will accept digital keys for the 2026 Toyota RAV4, with plans to expand support to additional models soon thereafter. Initial access will be available to owners in the USA, Canada, and Mexico with compatible Samsung smartphones.
It is important to note that digital car keys rely not only on NFC (Near Field Communication) but also require UWB (Ultra-Wideband) connectivity. Consequently, only Samsung phones equipped with UWB technology will be able to unlock the RAV4 using Samsung Wallet. This integration also features a standardized communication protocol from the Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) to enhance security.
Further expansion is anticipated in Europe, aligning with Toyota's vehicle launch schedule.
