Over a year ago, Insta360 introduced the Link 2 and Link 2C webcams. Today, the company has launched the “Pro” versions of these models, which boast larger 1/1.3” sensors—an impressive upgrade from the 1/2” sensors found in the standard models.

Equipped with an 84° lens (f/1.9), the camera enables users to define a Tracking Area via the Insta360 app, effectively reserving a part of the room as a “backstage” area. Additionally, the Pause Tracking Area feature allows the gimbal to remain steady while you are within that designated zone.
The new 1/1.3” sensor boasts a significantly larger light-sensitive area—2.23 times greater than the standard Link 2—along with Dual Native ISO and HDR capabilities to manage challenging lighting conditions.

Featuring “2.4µm equivalent pixels,” which may be attributed to pixel binning, the sensor offers 4x in-sensor zoom and Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF), alongside a real-time bokeh mode.
The Insta360 Link 2C Pro shares similar specifications but lacks the gimbal. Instead, it utilizes in-sensor zoom to crop from its 84°/24mm lens. This intelligent cropping can adjust the zoom to include additional participants. Moreover, the 2C model incorporates a physical shutter for lens privacy.
Both models support 4K recording at 30fps and 1080p at 60fps, although bokeh mode is only available at 1080p @ 30fps. Each camera features dual microphones with four pickup modes tailored to various settings, as well as AI noise reduction technology.

These new webcams are available on Insta360’s online store and are priced higher than their predecessors, with the Insta360 Link 2 Pro retailing at $250/€270 and the Link 2C Pro at $200/€220. For comparison, the original Link 2 was priced at $200/€230, while the 2C model was offered at $150/€170.
