Motorola has had an inconsistent approach to flagship releases; its Edge series periodically featured an Ultra model. Now, the company aims to penetrate the premium market with its latest introduction, the Signature line. The first model in this series is certainly noteworthy.
The Motorola Signature is not an outright flagship, yet it is significantly more affordable than competitors, retailing at approximately £900/€1,000 in Europe for the 12/512GB version. In contrast, alternatives such as the vivo X300 Pro are priced €400 higher, while the OnePlus 15 also has a starting price of €1,000.

This model is sleek and lightweight, measuring just 7.0mm in thickness and weighing 186g. While not everyone prioritizes slim devices, the lightweight design enhances comfort—it's 47g lighter than the iPhone 17 Pro Max, despite housing a larger 5,200mAh battery. Additionally, the Signature supports fast 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, far exceeding the charging capabilities of Apple, Google, and Samsung's offerings this year.
The phone features a 6.8” LTPO display (165Hz, 1264p+) complemented by an ultrasonic fingerprint reader beneath the screen. It also includes a USB-C 3.1 Gen2 port with DisplayPort 1.4 support, allowing connections to external displays.

However, there are two areas where the Signature falls short of top-tier flagships: the chipset and the camera setup. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (non-Elite), which is a step down from last year's Elite model and the newer Elite Gen 5. Still, it provides commendable performance.
In terms of cameras, the phone boasts four 50MP modules. The primary camera features a sizable 1/1.28” sensor (Sony LYT-828), complemented by a 3x/71mm telephoto lens with a reasonably large 1/1.95” sensor, as well as a 122° ultra-wide camera. The fourth module is a 21mm selfie camera equipped with an autofocus f/2.0 lens. While not Ultra-grade, these sensors are larger than those found in the OnePlus 15.

Motorola’s Hello UI is user-friendly, and the Smart Connect feature (formerly known as Ready For) provides a desktop mode. The device is also set to receive seven years of operating system updates.
