The 2026 Brussels Auto Show is in full swing, and Leapmotor is ready to make a splash in an already saturated market by rolling out three new vehicles. After a productive 2025, during which the Chinese automaker strengthened its foothold in Europe through its partnership with Stellantis, Leapmotor is kicking off the new year with models tailored for both urban commuters and long-distance travelers.
Last year served as a preparatory phase for the brand. Leapmotor sold around 35,000 units in Europe in 2025 and established 800 sales points to set the stage for what they are dubbing a "year of acceleration." Judging by the myriad announcements unfolding at Brussels, they are committed to fulfilling that promise.

The design has been described as "cocooning." While we will have to wait to see how it performs on cobblestone streets, the intent is clear: to provide a more city-friendly option to their larger SUVs without sacrificing comfort.
The B03X is built on a new global platform, although specific performance figures are being held back for the time being. The focus is evidently on usability, ensuring the vehicle is nimble enough for tight European streets while being spacious enough to not feel cramped. Leapmotor aims to attract buyers who find traditional SUVs cumbersome and standard hatchbacks too restrictive.

Measuring 74 inches in width, it boasts a grounded appearance supported by 19-inch "Swift-Wing" alloy wheels and frameless doors. It's available in bold colors such as Yellow and Starry Night Blue.
The specifications for the B05 are impressive. It can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 6.7 seconds, benefiting from a launch control feature. Powering the vehicle is a 67.1 kWh battery pack, which Leapmotor claims offers a WLTP range of up to 286 miles. DC fast charging capabilities can provide over 170 kW, ensuring quick pit stops.

This system is complemented by an AI assistant and a comprehensive suite of 17 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Utilizing "Cell-to-Chassis" technology, the battery is integrated into the vehicle's structure to maximize interior space, a growing trend among manufacturers looking to optimize compact dimensions.
The most practical announcement from Leapmotor, however, is the B10 Hybrid. While electric vehicles might dominate the headlines, Leapmotor understands that not everyone is ready to completely abandon gasoline. The B10 is an Extended Range Electric Vehicle (ER-EV)—it operates like an electric vehicle but is equipped with a 1.5-liter petrol generator for on-the-go battery charging.

However, with the generator in operation, the total claimed range extends to 559 miles. This setup is becoming increasingly popular in China and is gradually making its way to Europe, delivering the benefits of electric driving without the fear of running out of charge.
Leapmotor is positioning the B10 competitively, with orders opening on January 9th, starting at $35,000. It will be available in two trims, Life and Design, simplifying the decision-making process for buyers.
Source: LeapmotorThe significant backing behind this initiative cannot be overlooked. Leapmotor is recognized as the leading Chinese New Energy Vehicle startup by sales, moving 600,000 units in 2025 alone. Their partnership with Stellantis offers access to one of the world's largest distribution networks, with ambitions to establish 1,700 sales points across 40 global markets.
Tianshu Xin, CEO of Leapmotor International, emphasizes that their mission is to "deliver excellent, high-quality vehicles at an accessible price." While this is a common refrain among executives, with the $35,000 price tag on the B10 and the tech-savvy features of the B05, Leapmotor may be uniquely positioned to deliver on this promise. Although breaking into the notoriously challenging European market is no small feat, Leapmotor appears to be equipped with the right technology and strategy to succeed.
