Poco has officially launched the new M8 5G series, featuring the Poco M8 and the Poco M8 Pro. Both smartphones are powered by Snapdragon chipsets, delivering impressive performance.
Poco M8 5G

The Poco M8 is driven by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. It operates on Android 15-based HyperOS 2 and incorporates various AI features such as Google Gemini and Circle to Search.
The device boasts a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits, 3,840Hz PWM dimming, 12-bit color depth, and Full-HD+ resolution.

In terms of photography, the Poco M8 includes a 50MP Light Fusion 400 primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor on the rear, alongside a 20MP selfie camera at the front. Although the M8 appears similar to the Redmi Note 15 5G, the latter features a 108MP main rear sensor with an ultrawide lens.
The device is equipped with a 5,520mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, an IP66 rating, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, an infrared sensor, 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and expandable storage options.

The Pro model is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset and features Poco's IceLoop cooling system for enhanced heat dissipation. It also runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2.
This variant offers a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of up to 3,200 nits, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ support, and 3,840Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The display is safeguarded by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The Poco M8 Pro 5G features a dual-camera setup with a 50MP Light Fusion 800 primary sensor with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide unit. For selfies and video calls, the phone includes a 32MP front camera. Notably, the M8 Pro shares similarities with the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ but lacks the 200MP main rear camera.
The M8 Pro is powered by a robust 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery, supporting 100W wired charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. Other specifications include an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP68 rating, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, 5G, GPS, and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

The Poco M8 5G is available in Black, Green, and Silver color options. The price for the 8GB/256GB model is set at $229 (£229/€269), while the 8GB/512GB variant is priced at $279 (£259/€299). Early-bird discounts allow the base model to be purchased for $209 (£189/€229) and the 512GB version for $259 (£219/€259).
