
Motorola is set to unveil two premium smartphones soon: the X70 Air Pro in China and the Signature model worldwide. Both devices will feature the newly announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, leading us to suspect that they may actually be the same phone branded differently for various markets, similar to how the X70 Air is the Edge 70.
Today, the X70 Air Pro received certification from TENAA for sale in China, confirming its use of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. It supports 5G connectivity and has dimensions of 162.1 x 76.4 x 7 mm, weighing in at 187g.
Motorola Edge 70The smartphone boasts a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1264x2780. It is powered by a sizable 5,100 mAh battery, which will likely be marketed with a higher typical capacity. The X70 Air Pro will come in multiple configurations, featuring 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM, alongside storage options of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB.
On the rear, the device is equipped with three 50MP cameras, one of which is rumored to be a periscope telephoto lens, while a 50MP front camera caters to selfie enthusiasts. Additionally, an in-display fingerprint scanner is included. The X70 Air Pro is expected to debut with Android 16.
