Samsung's Galaxy S26 Ultra may not introduce many upgrades compared to its predecessor, but one notable addition is its new screen feature that makes the display invisible to all but the owner. This feature has now been confirmed with the One UI 8.5, which the S26 Ultra will run at launch.
Known as Privacy Display, this feature prevents people nearby from seeing the content on your screen. It proves to be invaluable in public environments, particularly on public transportation.
Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra's Privacy Display Feature
As illustrated in the One UI 8.5 screenshots above, Privacy Display will offer two intensity settings: a standard option and a "Maximum privacy protection" mode. The latter likely enhances privacy further by narrowing the angle of visibility, ensuring that only you can see the screen clearly.
Additionally, Privacy Display can activate automatically under certain conditions, which users can configure through the Modes and Routines app. For example, it could be set to activate every time you leave your home or office. A Quick Settings toggle will also make it easy to manage this feature.
