TCL Launches Note A1 NxtPaper: A New Contender in Digital Notetaking

TCL has officially introduced the Note A1 NxtPaper, a digital notepad designed to compete with the ReMarkable Paper Pro and Kindle Scribe.

This device features an 8,000 mAh battery that supports long standby times and 33W wired charging, along with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. For a superior viewing experience, it boasts an 11.5-inch NxtPaper Pure display with a resolution of 2200x1440, a 120Hz refresh rate, 300-nit peak brightness, and certification for eye comfort with paper-like, reflection-free clarity. The adaptive brightness feature helps reduce eye strain in various lighting conditions. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 SoC and includes a 13MP rear camera, dual speakers, and eight microphones.

The device comes equipped with the T-Pen Pro, a dual-tip stylus featuring an eraser, 8,192 pressure levels, and under 5ms latency. According to the official press release, it is certified for "pencil-like writing" and is designed to replicate the resistance and texture of real paper.

The TCL Note A1 integrates advanced AI tools, including AI Rewrite, Writing Assist, and Inspiration Space, which autonomously organizes ideas and content to facilitate creativity. Additionally, it provides real-time transcription, translation, and automated meeting summaries.

Measuring just 5.5mm thin, the device features an aluminum unibody design and weighs 500g. Optional accessories, such as a flip case and keyboard case, will be available. Priced at $549, the Note A1 NxtPaper is expected to ship in Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region starting in late February.
