TCL has officially announced the Note A1 NxtPaper, a digital notepad designed to rival devices such as the ReMarkable Paper Pro and the Kindle Scribe.
This innovative device features an 8,000 mAh battery, offering "long standby" capabilities and support for 33W wired charging. The Note A1 is equipped with 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and boasts an 11.5-inch 2200x1440 NxtPaper Pure display. This display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, delivers 300-nit peak brightness, and is certified for eye comfort, providing paper-like, reflection-free clarity. Additionally, the device incorporates adaptive brightness to minimize eye strain in various lighting conditions.

The device comes bundled with the T-Pen Pro, a dual-tip stylus featuring an eraser, 8,192 pressure levels, and under 5ms latency. TCL claims the stylus delivers "pencil-like writing" that mimics the resistance and texture of real paper, as highlighted in their official press release.

The Note A1 NxtPaper includes integrated AI tools such as AI Rewrite, Writing Assist, and Inspiration Space, which organizes ideas and content for effortless creativity. Users can also take advantage of features like real-time transcription and translation, alongside automated meeting summaries.

With a thickness of just 5.5mm, an aluminum unibody construction, and a weight of 500g, the device is both sleek and portable. Optional accessories include a flip case and a keyboard case. The TCL Note A1 NxtPaper is priced at $549 and is scheduled to begin shipping to Europe, North America, and the Asia-Pacific region starting at the end of February.
