After reports last November suggested Apple had delayed the iPhone Air 2 to spring 2027 due to underwhelming sales of its predecessor, new rumors indicate the successor could launch much earlier.
Reliable tipster Fixed Focus Digital disclosed on Weibo that Apple plans to unveil the iPhone Air 2 at its fall event in September 2026.

The same source revealed that the iPhone 17e is progressing well toward a spring launch and has already entered mass production.
Previously, Apple was expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the iPhone Fold in September 2026. Meanwhile, the second-generation iPhone Air, along with the iPhone 18 and iPhone 17e, was rumored for a spring 2027 release.
