Sony and Honda's joint venture, Sony Honda Mobility (SHM), has announced that the Afeela will be the first vehicle worldwide to support PS Remote Play.
This feature allows users to stream PlayStation games remotely from their PS5 or PS4 consoles, providing an innovative in-car entertainment experience.
Players can access and control their PS5 or PS4 via the Afeela’s In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system. Passengers can enjoy gaming regardless of whether the car is in motion, while drivers can only use this feature when the vehicle is parked.
According to SHM, a minimum internet connection speed of 5Mbps is required to use PS Remote Play, with a stable connection above 15Mbps recommended for an optimal experience.
The first Afeela model was unveiled at CES in January, following a year of teaser campaigns.
