Xiaomi officially unveiled the Watch 5 alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in China. The new smartwatch boasts a 1.54-inch circular AMOLED screen, dual-chip architecture, and up to six days of battery life.
The Watch 5 is built with a stainless steel case housing a 1.54-inch circular AMOLED display that offers a 60Hz refresh rate, 480x480 resolution, and peak brightness of 1,500 nits.
Protecting the display and rear is synthetic sapphire crystal glass. The watch weighs 56 grams without the strap and measures 12.3mm in thickness. It features 5ATM water resistance and runs Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 operating system.
The device utilizes a dual-chip setup, combining the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 processor with a Hengxuan 2800 low-power chipset, enhancing efficiency and performance.
For health and fitness tracking, the Watch 5 offers continuous heart rate monitoring, ECG, SpO2 measurement, stress tracking, and sleep analysis. It supports over 150 sports modes and includes full-color offline maps along with features tailored for running.
Equipped with a 930mAh battery, the smartwatch delivers up to 6 days of typical usage or extends to 18 days in power-saving mode.
The innovative ECG sensor also supports gesture-based navigation by detecting hand muscle signals, allowing users to answer calls, dismiss alarms, control music playback, take photos remotely, and more.
In connectivity, the Xiaomi Watch 5 supports Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, and includes eSIM functionality for standalone communication.
The smartwatch comes in silver or black stainless steel cases with multiple strap options: rubber, leather, or a premium 3D-printed titanium strap made from TC4 titanium alloy.
Pricing starts at CNY 1,999 (approximately $285) for the rubber strap version. The leather strap is available exclusively with the eSIM model priced at CNY 2,299 ($330). The 3D-printed titanium strap costs an additional CNY 799 ($110) and is offered in black and silver to match the watch casing.
