Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy A07 5G, an entry-level smartphone that aims to impress budget-conscious consumers with a bigger battery capacity compared to its 4G predecessor.
Impressive Battery Upgrade
After unveiling the Galaxy A07 4G in August, Samsung is now preparing to roll out the 5G variant, reportedly named the Galaxy A07 5G. Certification documents from Brazil suggest that this upcoming model will feature a substantial 6,000 mAh battery—a notable increase from the 5,000 mAh pack found in the 4G version.
While a 5,000 mAh battery already provides around two days of average usage, the additional 1,000 mAh will help the 5G model stretch usage time further. This boost is important considering 5G technology tends to consume more power, especially in areas where 5G connectivity is spotty or weak. The larger battery capacity could help offset this power drain, ensuring users get sustained performance from the device.
Aside from the battery, most other features appear consistent with Samsung’s previous Galaxy A06 5G model. Recent listings on Geekbench reveal that the A07 5G will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, the same processor powering the A06 5G.
Additional specifications include Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, and at least one model with 4 GB of RAM. Given the A06 5G also came with a 6 GB RAM variant, Samsung may offer multiple configurations for potential buyers.

More Enhancements Could Have Elevated the Experience
While Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S and Z series often steal the spotlight, the Galaxy A0x line remains popular, particularly among budget-conscious users. Recent research shows that the Galaxy A06 5G was one of the best-selling smartphones of 2025, even surpassing some flagship models like the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The upcoming Galaxy A07 5G is expected to be launched around January 2026, with Samsung aiming to replicate or exceed this success. The bigger battery is a welcome improvement; however, many had hoped for more significant upgrades, such as a newer and faster chipset like the Exynos 1330 or 1380 instead of the carried-over MediaTek Dimensity 6300.
Nonetheless, enhanced battery life remains a key selling point for an entry-level device, offering users longer usage and peace of mind—a crucial factor for budget smartphone buyers.
