Sony and Honda's joint venture, Sony Honda Mobility (SHM), has announced that the Afeela will be the world’s first vehicle equipped with PS Remote Play.
This innovative feature allows users to stream PlayStation games remotely from their PS5 or PS4 consoles, delivering entertainment directly within the car.
The Afeela’s In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system enables passengers to access and control their PlayStation consoles via the car’s interface regardless of whether the vehicle is in motion. Drivers can use this feature only when the car is parked for safety reasons.
According to SHM, a minimum internet speed of 5 Mbps is required for PS Remote Play, with a recommended stable connection of over 15 Mbps for optimal performance.
The first Afeela model was unveiled at CES in January, following a teaser released exactly one year prior.
