Samsung is making significant strides with its One UI 8.5 update. Although the current beta testing phase is primarily focused on the latest flagship devices, compelling reports reveal a widespread rollout could be imminent, extending support to a broader range of Galaxy devices.
Extensive Internal Testing Underway
While only Galaxy S25 series users located in select regions like the US, UK, South Korea, or Germany currently have access to the beta, Samsung is conducting extensive internal testing of the Android 16 QPR2-based One UI 8.5. This preparation is geared towards the upcoming Galaxy S26 launch early next year and covers a vast array of devices.
Devices Included in Internal Testing
- Z Series: Galaxy Z Fold and Flip 7 models (including a rumored FE variant), Z Fold and Flip 6, and Z Fold and Flip 5.
- S Series: The full Galaxy S25 family (including Edge and FE variants), plus the S24, S23, and S22 series, as well as the upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup.
- Tablets: Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, Plus, and FE, alongside the Tab S9 series.
- A Series: A wide range from the Galaxy A57 and A56 down to the A16 5G and A17 models.
