While earlier rumors suggested that the iPhone Air 2 would be postponed to 2027 due to extensive design changes, fresh claims point towards a potential unveiling at Apple's traditional fall event in early September 2026. This new timeline contradicts reports that the model was removed from Apple's immediate roadmap without a confirmed date.

Apple’s approach with the iPhone Air—omitting a number in the product name—clearly signals a break from the standard annual update cycle, similar to the pattern seen with the iPhone SE. However, the anticipation remains high as the iPhone 17e has already entered mass production and is expected to be showcased at Apple's spring event, typically held in March.

What Can We Expect from the iPhone Air 2?

The upcoming Air 2 is rumored to feature a secondary dedicated camera and potentially come with a more competitive price, although the latter remains doubtful. Fans remain eager to see improvements, including options such as a bigger battery, additional cameras, and slimmer form factors.

From a recent poll with 49 votes, 36.73% of participants want another camera, 28.57% desire a bigger battery, and 22.45% opted for other features.
