Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 17 Ultra as its latest flagship smartphone in China. Alongside the standard version, the company introduced the 17 Ultra Leica edition, which features a distinctive design and a mechanical zoom ring for enhanced camera control.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is equipped with a Leica-branded triple rear camera setup. The primary sensor is a 50MP 1-inch Light Fusion 1050L sensor featuring LOFIC technology. This is complemented by a 200MP Samsung HPE 1/1.4-inch periscope telephoto lens with continuous optical zoom capabilities, and a 50MP ultrawide camera with autofocus.
On the front, the device boasts a flat 6.9-inch M10 AMOLED LTPO display, offering a 120Hz refresh rate, 2608 x 1200 resolution, and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. The screen is protected by Xiaomi’s Dragon Crystal Glass 3.0. Additionally, it sports a 50MP selfie camera and an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor.

The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. It comes preloaded with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3.0 featuring various AI enhancements.
Powering the device is a robust 6,800mAh silicon-carbon battery supporting 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 22.5W wired reverse charging.
Other notable features include an infrared sensor, dual SIM support, Hi-Res audio, stereo speakers, a quad-mic array, IP66/IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and satellite communication support. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is available in Black, Cool Smoke Purple, Starry Green, and White variants.
Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition

The Leica edition shares the same core specifications as the standard model but adds exclusive features such as a mechanical zoom ring for fine-tuning focal length, exposure, and white balance.
Its design draws inspiration from Leica’s M-series cameras, featuring a dual-tone finish, knurled frame texture, and the iconic red Leica logo on the rear.

The Leica edition also includes special Leica Moment modes with a 3:2 aspect ratio, an integrated security and encryption chip, and dual-satellite communication. The package comes complete with a lens cap, lanyard, magnetic case, and cleaning cloth.
This variant is available in Black and Off-White colors. Both standard and Leica editions will be available for purchase in China starting December 27 through Xiaomi’s official online store.
Pricing for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra starts at CNY 6,999 (~$995) for the 12GB/512GB model, CNY 7,499 (~$1,065) for the 16GB/512GB version, and CNY 8,499 (~$1,210) for the 16GB/1TB variant.
The Leica edition is priced at CNY 7,999 (~$1,140) for 16GB/512GB and CNY 8,999 (~$1,280) for 16GB/1TB configurations.
