Oppo has officially launched the Pad Air5 in China following a series of teasers and an official unboxing video.

The new tablet is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Ultra SoC, paired with the Mali-G615 MC2 GPU, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. It comes in both Wi-Fi and cellular variants.

The Pad Air5 features a 12.1-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2800 x 1980 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The display supports a peak brightness of 900 nits, ensuring clear and vibrant visuals.

For photography, the tablet is equipped with an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. Both cameras support 1080p video recording, suitable for video calls and casual photography.

The device houses a 10,050mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging, promising extended usage with quick recharge times. It runs on ColorOS 16, which includes several AI features to enhance user experience.

In terms of connectivity, the Pad Air5 offers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, 5G support, and a USB Type-C port for fast data transfer and charging. The tablet is available in two color options: Starlight Powder and Space Gray. Additionally, there is a Soft Light edition that features an anti-glare coating on the display for improved readability in bright environments.

The pricing for the Wi-Fi models starts at CNY 1,899 ($270) for the 8GB/128GB version. The 8GB/256GB variant is priced at CNY 2,199 ($315), while the 12GB/256GB model costs CNY 2,499 ($355). The 5G-enabled version is available in an 8GB/128GB configuration priced at CNY 2,399 ($340).

The Soft Light edition is offered in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB variants, priced at CNY 2,399 ($340) and CNY 2,699 ($385), respectively. The Oppo Pad Air5 will be available for purchase in China starting December 31.
