Sony and Honda's joint venture, Sony Honda Mobility (SHM), has announced that the Afeela will be the first car in the world to offer PS Remote Play integration.
This feature allows users to stream PlayStation games remotely from their PS5 or PS4 consoles, providing an innovative in-car entertainment experience.
Players will be able to access and control their PS5 or PS4 through the Afeela’s In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system. Passengers can enjoy gaming regardless of whether the vehicle is in motion, while drivers can use the feature only when the car is parked for safety reasons.
According to SHM, a minimum internet connection of 5Mbps is required for PS Remote Play, with a stable connection exceeding 15Mbps recommended to ensure smooth streaming.
The first Afeela model was unveiled at CES in January, following a teaser announcement exactly one year prior.
