Last week, Xiaomi teased the upcoming flagship 17 Ultra, promising its debut in China this week. The company has now officially confirmed the exact launch date, design details, and available color options.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be revealed on December 25 in China, as announced through an official Weibo post. Alongside the launch date, Xiaomi shared images highlighting the phone’s rear design and color variants.
The device will come in three color options: Starry Green, White, and Black. The Starry Green model stands out with mineral particles embedded in the rear panel, creating a distinctive metallic finish. The teasers also confirm a triple rear camera setup on the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
Additional design features include a flat display, segmented volume buttons, and a body thickness of 8.29mm, according to the official reveal.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Rumors suggest it will sport a 1-inch main rear sensor, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, and upgraded Leica optics, enhancing its photography capabilities. The handset is also anticipated to receive a global launch in the coming months.
