Google is reportedly working on adding casting support to Android Auto, enabling users to cast content from their phones or tablets directly to their car’s display.
While Android Automotive—an operating system preinstalled by some car manufacturers—already includes built-in casting capabilities, this update will bring similar functionality to Android Auto, which mirrors your phone’s interface to the car display.

The casting feature was discovered in the latest beta release of Android Auto (version 15.9.655104), where code strings referencing Google Cast were found.
In addition, Android Auto’s media player is set to receive a visual overhaul adopting more elements of Google’s Material You (Material 3 Expressive) design language, enhancing the user experience with a modern, cohesive look.

The timeline for the release of these features has not been disclosed. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
