
Samsung recently announced the One UI 8.5 beta program and launched the initial beta build in select countries. The update is now expanding to India and Poland, alongside other regions receiving a new build identified as ZYLH.
One UI 8.5 Second Beta Update Highlights
The comprehensive changelog for this second beta release includes:
- Enabled dual recording and Single Take mode via the Camera Assistant setting
- Resolved intermittent issues with quick panel settings initialization during boot
- Fixed errors related to quick panel icon spacing and positioning
- Improved photo organization to prevent gallery group folders from moving to the first album page
- Addressed stuttering when accessing the More View menu during calls
- Fixed intermittent reboot issues when exiting certain apps
- Resolved volume up button unresponsiveness under specific conditions
- Fixed sound issues occurring during calls with Bluetooth car kit connections
- Prevented forced app closures when using multiple third-party applications simultaneously
- Enhanced overall software stability with updates to core apps such as the camera
This update is approximately 1.12GB and includes the December 2025 security patch.
One UI 8.5 is anticipated to officially launch with the Galaxy S26 series early next year, followed by a wider release for older devices. Multiple beta updates are expected before the final version arrives.
