Realme is set to launch the 16 Pro and 16 Pro+ on January 6, revealing that both models will feature a powerful 200MP main camera. The 16 Pro+ stands out with an additional telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom.
The primary camera utilizes Samsung's HP5 sensor, a 1/1.56-inch type with an f/1.8 aperture. Meanwhile, the Pro+'s telephoto lens is equipped with Samsung's JN5 sensor. Both phones also include an ultrawide camera, enabling a comprehensive focal-length imaging system. According to Realme, the 16 Pro+ supports shooting from 0.6x up to 120x zoom, providing versatile options for portrait, street, and long-range photography.

The 200MP main sensor offers features such as full-pixel auto zoom and both 1x and 2x lossless zoom. Realme’s 16 Pro+ benefits from the newly introduced LumaColor Image technology, delivering advanced algorithmic enhancements. This includes full-dimensional skin tone optimization, optical depth-of-field fusion blur, and dynamic lighting and shadow reconstruction, ensuring photos exhibit realistic textures and vivid lighting effects.

These models also introduce innovative HyperRAW, InstantSnap, and Anti-Distortion algorithms to the segment, which enhance image detail, stabilize dynamic shots, and minimize edge distortion across the entire focal range.
The Realme 16 Pro+ supports 4K HDR video recording at 1x, 2x, 3.5x, and 7x zoom levels, including dual-focal 4K video at 60fps for 1x and 3.5x zoom. The front camera also supports 4K video recording at 60fps.
These camera advancements are promising, and we look forward to testing the Realme 16 Pro series to evaluate whether their performance lives up to these claims. Stay tuned for our in-depth review.
