Huawei has officially unveiled the nova 15 series in China, introducing three models: the standard nova 15, nova 15 Pro, and nova 15 Ultra. The new lineup showcases Huawei’s innovative "dual-ring" design, alongside upgraded camera systems, faster processors, and larger batteries.

Huawei nova 15 Ultra and nova 15 Pro
The nova 15 Ultra and nova 15 Pro share many key specifications. Both feature 6.84-inch LTPO OLED displays with a 1,320 x 2,856 resolution and a dynamic 1-120Hz refresh rate. Their screens reach up to 4,000 nits peak local brightness and are protected by Kunlun glass. A pill-shaped cutout houses a 50MP front camera, accompanied by a 1.5MP multispectral sensor.
At the rear, the nova 15 series introduces Huawei’s signature "dual-ring" camera module. The nova 15 Ultra is equipped with three 50MP RYYB sensors. The primary lens features a variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0, supported by optical image stabilization (OIS). It also includes a telephoto periscope lens with 3.7x optical zoom and an ultra-wide lens with a 118-degree field of view.
Huawei nova 15 Ultra Cameras
The nova 15 Pro is fitted with a 50MP RYYB primary sensor (f/1.8, OIS), a 12MP RYYB telephoto lens, and a 13MP RYYB ultra-wide camera. Both the nova 15 Ultra and Pro hold IP68 and IP69 ratings, ensuring robust protection against water and dust.
Both models are powered by Huawei’s new Kirin 9010S chipset, delivering an 18% performance improvement over the Kirin 8020 found in their predecessors. They support satellite connectivity and run HarmonyOS 6.0 out of the box.
Battery capacity for the nova 15 Ultra and Pro stands at 6,500mAh with 100W wired charging support. Additionally, the Ultra model offers 50W wireless charging capability.

The standard nova 15 features a 6.7-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a single punch-hole for a 50MP front-facing camera. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP RYYB main sensor, a 12MP RYYB telephoto lens, and a 1.5MP multispectral color sensor.
The nova 15 runs on the Kirin 8020 chipset, previously used in the nova 14 Pro and nova 14 Ultra. Huawei claims this SoC delivers up to 42% improved performance over the Kirin 8000 found in the original nova 14. It also supports satellite connectivity like its Pro and Ultra counterparts.

The device operates on HarmonyOS 6.0 and is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery supporting 100W wired charging. It also retains IP65 ingress protection.
