XPeng Updates Mona M03 with Slightly Longer Body and Extended Range

XPeng has received certification from Chinese authorities for an updated version of its Mona M03, paving the way for its upcoming launch. Introduced in August last year, the M03 is the first model in XPeng’s Mona lineup and has remained the company's best-selling vehicle.

Accounting for 41.66% of XPeng’s sales between January and November, this facelift—though minor—is significant. The refreshed Mona M03 has increased in length by 5 mm to 4,785 mm, while its width (1,896 mm), height (1,445 mm), and wheelbase (2,815 mm) remain unchanged.

The updated model offers an additional 20 km of range under the CLTC standard, extending its maximum range to 640 km with the existing 62.2 kWh battery. Although the battery capacity remains the same, XPeng continues to offer a more affordable 51.8 kWh option and will introduce a new mid-range 61.6 kWh battery variant.

The Mona M03 starts at CNY 119,800 (approximately €14,500), which is nearly half the cost of Tesla's entry-level Model 3 in China, helping explain its strong market appeal.
