Li Jie, President of OnePlus China, recently confirmed the development of a new lineup called Turbo. This new series is expected to carry forward the high-performance legacy of OnePlus flagships while introducing the most powerful battery life in its category.
Regarding battery specifications, Li revealed that the Turbo will feature the largest battery ever installed in a OnePlus smartphone. This surpasses the current record held by the OnePlus Ace 6T, which sports an 8,300 mAh cell.
OnePlus 15RA well-known leaker on Weibo indicates the Turbo’s battery capacity will be a massive 9,000 mAh. The first device in the Turbo series is expected to launch in China this January. The leak also suggests the Turbo will utilize the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, the same processor found in the Ace 6T and, internationally, the OnePlus 15R.
Additionally, another source revealed that the Turbo lineup will initially consist of two models. Both will feature 9,000 mAh batteries, 165Hz refresh rate displays, and Snapdragon 8 series processors, promising top-tier performance and endurance.
