Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro+ Global Launch: Key Differences and Features Explained

Source: Date:

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+, initially launched in China a few months ago, has now made its international debut. However, the global version presents several notable differences compared to its Chinese counterpart.

One of the most significant changes is in the camera setup. While the Chinese Redmi Note 15 Pro+ features a 50MP primary camera, the international version boasts an impressive 200MP HPE primary sensor with 2x and 4x in-sensor zoom. This camera system supports five distinct focal lengths ranging from 23mm to 92mm. Accompanying the main sensor is an 8MP ultrawide camera, similar to the Chinese model, but the international model omits the 50MP telephoto camera.

Battery configurations also differ significantly. The Chinese model houses a 7,000mAh battery with 90W fast charging support, whereas the global Redmi Note 15 Pro+ features a slightly smaller 6,500mAh silicon-carbon (Si/C) battery supporting faster 100W charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. Despite the smaller battery, the international version is physically thicker than the Chinese model.

The display retains the same 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 3,200 nits. However, the screen resolution varies slightly: 2,772 x 1,280 pixels on the global model versus 2,772 x 1,220 pixels on the Chinese version. Additionally, the international variant uses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection, while the Chinese model features Dragon Trail Crystal glass.

Both models share the same Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, a 32MP selfie camera, Xiaomi’s HyperOS, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC connectivity.

Additional features on the global Redmi Note 15 Pro+ include an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio support, eSIM functionality, and water and dust resistance with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings.
