Dacia aims to make electric vehicles more accessible with the launch of the 2026 Spring starting at an impressive price of €14,350 in the UK. This competitive price is made possible through Dacia's own "Dacia Electric Car Grant," which reduces the standard cost by €4,400, positioning the Spring as the UK's most affordable new electric car.
The 2026 model features significant upgrades, including a revamped chassis and suspension for enhanced ride comfort. Brake improvements also boost safety, ensuring a stable and reassuring driving experience, whether navigating busy urban streets or rougher roads. Despite these enhancements, the vehicle remains lightweight at under 1,000 kg.

A key advancement in the 2026 Spring is its new 24.3 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery, which offers superior environmental benefits and longevity. The battery delivers a driving range of up to 225 km, sufficient for daily commutes and errands over a week without recharging. When needed, the fast-charging capability allows charging from 20% to 80% in just 29 minutes using a 40 kW charger.
There are two powertrain options: the base Expression model with a 70 hp motor and the more powerful Extreme model featuring 100 hp. The Expression starts at €18,750 before the grant, while the Extreme is priced at €19,920. After applying the €4,400 grant, prices drop to €14,350 and €15,530, respectively. Such pricing places the Spring firmly in competition with traditional petrol vehicles.

The interior of the 2026 Dacia Spring is modern and functional. All models include a 7-inch digital driver display showing essential information such as speed and battery status. The Extreme trim adds a 10.1-inch central touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity. The cabin also integrates a versatile "YouClip" system, allowing drivers to attach various accessories like cup holders and phone mounts where desired.
Measuring approximately 3.7 m in length, the compact Spring is easy to maneuver and park in tight spaces while still offering a range of features. Standard equipment includes air conditioning, cruise control, and rear parking sensors. The Extreme model further enhances comfort and utility with copper interior trims, a reversing camera, and a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function that powers electric tools or appliances directly from the car. The Spring can be ordered in six colors, including a new light green shade called Seafoam.

Dacia is currently accepting orders for the 2026 Spring, with first deliveries expected in spring 2026. By focusing on simple technology and affordability, Dacia is making the electric car transition more attainable for everyday families.
