Xiaomi's Redmi Note 15 series has launched globally, and we've received the devices for review. Given our limited resources, thorough reviews will take some time. To start, here is an unboxing and first look at the flagship model, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G.
The phone comes with a powerful 100W charger, the fastest among its series, along with a grey silicone case and a USB-A to USB-C cable.
Our unit is the elegant Mocha Brown variant featuring a premium faux leather finish. This texture enhances grip and adds a sophisticated look and feel. Using the included plain case on such a refined device feels almost sacrilegious.
The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G sports a large 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772x1280 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Only the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G shares this panel size, while the other models—Redmi Note 15, Redmi Note 15 5G, and Redmi Note 15 Pro—feature slightly smaller 6.77-inch screens. Additionally, the Pro+ model’s display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for enhanced durability.

The phone includes dual speakers with what Redmi calls a "400% volume boost." Notably, only the Pro 5G and Pro+ 5G models support this enhanced volume level, while the other variants reach 300%. The exact implications of this feature will be explored in depth in our full review.
The handset is powered by a substantial 6,500mAh battery paired with the series’ fastest 100W charging capabilities. Reverse wireless charging is also quicker at 22.5W, compared to 18W on the standard and Pro models.
Under the hood, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset fabricated on a 4nm process, coupled with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. Storage options include 256GB or 512GB configurations.
On the camera front, it features a 200MP main sensor measuring 1/1.4 inches, consistent with other Pro models in the lineup. It also includes an 8MP 15mm ultrawide fixed-focus lens and a 32MP front-facing selfie camera.
