BMW has unveiled three new in-car apps alongside improvements to the My BMW app. The latest additions—M Cockpit, M Drag Meter, and M Channel—are now available worldwide through the BMW Digital Premium Package, initially for the new iX3 equipped with the M Sport Package and M Sport Package Pro.
In the near future, these apps will also be accessible to owners of other BMW M models running the BMW Operating System X.

M Cockpit provides real-time insights into various driving metrics, displaying data related to driving dynamics, chassis, powertrain, and geolocation. It offers extensive customization, allowing users to create up to five distinct dashboards on the central display, each showcasing the selected live data.

The M Drag Meter is tailored for drag strip enthusiasts. It gamifies drag racing by measuring acceleration, deceleration, and reaction times from a standstill—leveraging GPS-based speed and distance tracking. Up to four measurement criteria and their results can be simultaneously displayed on the central screen.

M Channel delivers a rich variety of BMW M-themed on-demand video content on the central display with crystal-clear playback and immersive audio. Users can explore how-to videos, feature stories, motorsport coverage, and details about BMW M offerings like the BMW Driving Academy.

Additionally, the BMW M Community is now integrated within the My BMW app. BMW M owners gain access to exclusive products, special events, partner offers, and premium BMW M content. The community also facilitates connection and idea exchange among members. At launch, all BMW M drivers in Germany with High Performance or M Performance vehicles from model year 2014 onward can access this feature.
