iOS 26.3 Beta 1 Introduces Seamless Android Transfers and Notification Forwarding in the EU

Although iOS 26.2 was released just days ago, Apple has already begun rolling out the first beta of iOS 26.3 to compatible devices. This update introduces several notable features, including a new transfer tool to simplify migrating from iPhone to Android, as well as notification forwarding to third-party wearable devices.

The new Transfer to Android feature enhances Apple’s suite of transfer tools by allowing users to migrate data such as apps, photos, contacts, and messages. This process requires both devices to be connected to the same wireless network, and unlike previous methods, it is now integrated directly into iOS without the need for additional applications.

Notification Forwarding is another major addition in iOS 26.3 but is currently limited to users in the European Union. This feature permits third-party wearables to receive notifications from the iPhone. Users can enable it by navigating to Settings > Notifications > Notification Forwarding.

After activation, users can select which apps are allowed to send notifications to their wearable devices. Currently, this feature supports only a single device, so if you are using an Apple Watch, notifications will not be forwarded. This capability stems from compliance with the European Union’s Digital Markets Act, which requires Apple to allow third-party access to its iOS notification system.
