Volkswagen has revealed detailed information about the upcoming ID. Polo, accompanied by images showing the model in camouflage. Here is everything you need to know.

The new ID. Polo will launch in spring 2026, offering three power options: 85 kW (116 PS), 99 kW (135 PS), and 155 kW (211 PS). A sportier ID. Polo GTI variant with 166 kW (226 PS) will arrive the following year.

The 85 kW and 99 kW models will use a 37 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, supporting DC fast charging up to 90 kW. Meanwhile, the 155 kW and 166 kW versions will feature a larger 52 kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery, capable of 130 kW DC charging and providing a range of up to 450 km.

All ID. Polo models are equipped with front-wheel drive. They come standard with Volkswagen's Travel Assist system, which enables assisted lateral and longitudinal guidance, as well as assisted lane changes on highways. The system also recognizes traffic lights and stop signs, enhancing safety and convenience.

The ID. Polo measures 4,053 mm in length, 1,816 mm in width, and 1,530 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,600 mm. Volkswagen notes that while the exterior dimensions resemble the previous Polo, the new model offers an additional 19 mm of interior space, notably improving rear passenger comfort. The boot capacity is 435 liters, expandable to 1,243 liters with the rear seats folded. The car will be available exclusively as a five-seat, four-door model.

Currently undergoing rigorous testing across multiple global regions to ensure top quality and precision, the ID. Polo is expected to start at approximately €25,000.
